ABOUT THE G.G.P.A.Hence the G.G.P.A. was created. With the properties GO FOR THE GOLD already had, it would be a good start for a new club. So Johnny put up the 1st $100 for a membership towards the club that very night. And from there it all began and developed into what it is today. The G.G.P.A. is a club for the family to enjoy "TOGETHER". Meaning, that there would be something for just about everyone in an average family to do and enjoy. Values, that was the idea !!! Create and get back some of the family values we've lost to the television and movies from all of the garbage thats being dumped into our living rooms every night thru the boob tube..... "WE DECIDED THAT HAVING CLEAN PRIVATE PROPERTIES" "WITH AS GOOD AS POSSIBLE ACCESS" "WITH BASIC FACILITIES" "WOULD BE OUR PRIMARY MISSION OF DEVELOPMENT" "ALSO" Add several club outings a year to get the members together to meet one another would be the second step. And to keep everyone fed and busy at the outing would be a definate plus. So we have a big cookout at each one, with free raffle drawings for some really neat camping and mining stuff. Also we even gave away 9 GOLD NUGGETS our first year at the outings. Still something was missing, "Competition"..... So we created the first G.G.P.A. DREDGING COMPETITION in July 1999 on the Etowah River and our first COIN HUNT over the Laborday Holiday up on our Tennessee Claim. Trophies and Cash Awards were given out to the WINNERS as well having a "GREAT TIME and KEEPING ALL OF THE GOLD THEY FOUND" The G.G.P.A grew from an idea with 3 members [founders] to an organization today of almost 250 members and their families. And now we have 14 claims in 4 states and are adding at least that many next year to our claim list. So if you're interested in GOOD FRIENDS, CLEAN AIR, GOOD WATER, PRIVACY and getting away from it all. THE G.G.P.A. IS THE CLUB FOR "YOU" JOIN US...
